I have been playing invade earth online with my friends and we have all been enjoying it very much. Recently my friends discovered the 'Agent' tab, which allows them to do the equivalent of a boardflip.
Is there any way to disable the 'assume player' and 'replace with AI' options for multiplayer?
A friend and I were going to play Invade Earth over the internet, but I cannot figure out why it won't connect.
I'm really bad at using the map editor. What I wanted to try doing was to simply combine Invade Earth with Risk: Mars - with space connections between the Moon and Phobos/Deimos.
Problem is that this is nearly impossible without the original map images - I don't know how much time/effort it would take to combine them, but I think it would be pretty fun - at the least, can you make the background image pictures available? It will make map editor work a lot easier.
I can never even figure out how to get the map editor to work properly though.
I played my first game of Invade Earth tonight and found it very good. I saved a couple of times in case I made a placement mistake, which I did.
Of course I saved at the beginning of my turn.
When I reloaded the game, it fell back from year 4 to 3 and in the middle of another player's turn. My unit counts on the territories were not accurate, and one territory had 2 naval commanders and 2 nuclear commanders (clearly a bug).
My earlier save worked, but that was back in year 1. Having lost all of year 3's progress, I quit the game.
Hi, im new to this game and i noticed that almost nobody plays it anymore(newest post i could find was bout 15 weeks ago), anyway, if anybody sees this and wants to help xD, i checked all the network posts but my problems seems to be a little different, i forwarded the ports needed and my friend tried to connect to my game using my IP, a sound played (like a house knock door alarm)and in the conection status the 0 changed to 1(as if it detected someone), but in the invade earth client nothing appeared, he wasnt in the lobby and we couldnt chat, whenever he exits a door locking sound played lik
Mine worked yesterday, but today I'm getting the "unable to launch the application" box.

On this very computer I used to be able to play Invade Earth. I am able to download and access this game on friends computers but have been unable to so on mine. I am not adept enough to solve this nor know what it means...can anyone help?
On multiple times I have tried and receive this error:
Somewhat annoying, but what logic is used to ramdomize the dice thrown?
I find myself for example regularly losing 10 units to my opponents 2. Even when attacking with three high dice and thus gaining a significant statistical advantage, often I will lose 5/6 units in the process.
I understand the AI is poor and as such defenders should be given some advantage, but when I have 20 units v 10m, often I fear I won't be able to hang on to my units.
