I find myself burning CDs quite frequently these days. Usually I'm tranferring my own music into a more portable medium, or copying CDs so that I don't scratch up my original copies.
For quite some time I've used Windows Media Player to copy and burn CDs. I don't really have a lot of qualms about it, except for the fact that it has that annoying "two-second pause" between tracks that I can't turn off. It also messed with the sound quality to a degree.
Does anyone have any user-friendly, functional burning software to recommend to me? I've found that I can't even locate free versions of old favorites like Nero and Adaptec anymore.
Yeah, I don't know why it didn't occur to me to use something like The Pirate Bay or ISO Hunt or what-have-you.
I may give iTunes a try, though.
Edit: I tried out the CDRTools program. That works very well. Simple, and gets the job done. I'd recommend it to a friend.
Re: Burning software recommendations?
thepiratebay.org -> Nero
(If you don't mind that sort of thing.)
If you want to look at other options, iTunes for Windows is free and has built-in CD ripping and burning, but I always preferred CDex for ripping. I love K3B for burning on Linux, but there is no Windows version... although there is something called cdrtfe that has some nice features.
Hope that helps.
