Hi Everyone, I've been able to get a few games going for the last few months, but we seem to be missing a lot of people who use to play like Harvey, Smiley, Jonathan Crosmer, Pickle, Schlitz, Smallman, Colin Sox, etc... Where are you guys and did you ever want to play again? I've got a list of AIM, YIM, MSN accounts about a mile long, but only a few people ever seem to log on. I've only played a few times in the past. It would be nice to have asynchronous games, so that you wouldn't have to be present to play... but I don't know how feasible that is. I just have difficulty setting aside large blocks of time right now.
asynch games would be best played in browser instead of through a java console. conquerclub.com hosts a lot of asynch games. The downside is that you have to pay in order to play their "real-time" games... and even those don't guarantee a real-time game like invade earth.
True. Also, with a game of the complexity of Invade Earth, games would take *forever* if you had to wait for everyone to come back to the website to move.
I want to play, getting bored of whupping the agents.
I'm not sure how to join servers, think I might be doing something wrong, any help would be appreciated. I'm just clicking connect then server list...?
