I'm pleased to announce that my map, based on the Warring States period of Japan, is currently available for testing. While you can technically play it with any game type, it's really only suited for classic risk. Below is a link to the background image file you will need to play. Everyone will need to load this themselves once the map file has been loaded by the host. Else all you will see is blackness and white lines. >_> I'll upload the map file itself when I find a place to do so.

I was afraid of that... >_> *sighs* Well thanks for the information, but I suppose I'll just use my custom map for classic risk for now until I can get a copy of the source code and maybe... we'll see what happens ^_^
Re: Sengoku Jidai
You'd have to rebuild the whole game starting with the source code. It's regular java, so it shouldn't be hard for an experienced coder.
The xml's allow you to specify rulesets, dimensions, and territories/continents... as well as specific options, like cards per turn, end year/turn, fortification limits, and other popular custom rules... but they won't allow you to use custom classes (for special units and cards).
