Yeah, I've been playing it here for years. Suddenly started giving me this error as of two days ago.
Thinking it was a Java error, I reinstalled Java from scratch. I'll see if I can figure out how to clear the webstart cache.
I haven't changed the program. Either the server is having errors or something changed on your computer.
To open the Web Start options, run the command "javaws -viewer".
In the end I had to do a full uninstall of Java and then reinstall it. Then reinstall invade earth again.
But it works again. Which is vital I tell you, vital.

Re: Application Fails to Load
some kind of WebStart error. Make sure you have the latest version of Java and Webstart (at least version 5, I think).
You could also try clearing the webstart cache. Then try to launch it again.
Have you ever run Invade Earth on the same computer before?
